What is Meet the Heroes?

Meet the Heroes is a kid friendly interactive Black History event in Durham, NC through New Creation United Methodist Church.
Each February parents and children are invited to meet Heroes of Black history through actors, activities and crafts. The event is designed like a kids museum where you are free to travel from room to room to participate in a craft or STEM project based on the profession and achievements of each Hero. In each room you can listen to the hero's personal story of triumph, perseverance, and success.
Each child will receive a keepsake for the event with stickers detailing the accomplishments of each hero. Before you leave you can stop at Hashtag Corner for a photo op with one of your favorite heroes.
