Our History
Meet the Heroes is 501C3 nonprofit dedicated to teaching the history of Women and BIPOC stories through art crafts and events. We engage schools, youth groups, and families to provide educational opportunities to teach a STEAM subjects through the stories of Heroes who have overcame incredible odds throughout History.
Meet the Heroes started as an annual interactive Black History Event started by New Creation United Methodist Church and lives on through the engagement of parents, educators and creatives throughout the Triangle. Meet the Heroes is meant to inspire youth to learn and be proud of the accomplishments of Black men and women throughout history. Each year a different set of Heroes are portrayed by actors with a dedicated area for activities that children can participate in. Kids find inspiration through the words of the heroes and their own creativity. Non
